Failure to notify us will result in a $25 “no show” charge or 1 day removed from your dog's pass. If your dog misses (and you fail to notify ADGGP) three or more visits within a sixty day period, your dog will lose his permanent scheduled spot. This policy is to insure that dogs on the waiting list get to join us when space allows.
Age:
Puppies are accepted at any age after their second set of shots. ADGGP Play Care is not recommended for dogs under 3 months.
Shots:
All shots and updates are the responsibility of each dog owner. All dogs must have up to date vaccinations including Rabies, Distemper, Hepatitis Parvovirus, Parainvluenza (DHPP 4 in 1) are required upon expiration. The Corona vaccine is recommended for all daycare dogs. Bordatella (kennel cough) must be up to date and renewed every six months. Written proof of vaccinations or titer counts are required. It is the owner’s responsibility to provide ADGGP all shots and medical updates.
Spay/Neuter: All dogs accepted into our Play Care must be spayed or neutered by 6 months of age. Unaltered dogs under the age of 6 months that exhibit or cause negative behaviors may be suspended from all social services until sterilized.
General Health: All dogs must be free of communicable diseases for at least 3 months prior to enrollment. Upon enrollment and re-admission all dogs must be free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize other pets.
Behavior: Dogs in Play Care must not exhibit any aggressive behavior for any reason. Any dog exhibiting such behavior will be safely isolated from the rest of the daycare and will not be allowed re-admission until such behavior has been modified. We reserve the right to exclude dogs from Play Care that pose a potential risk to the safety of our dogs and staff or if your dog is unhappy in our pack.
Rates:
Play Care days can be purchased in any increment of days. The larger the number of days the cheaper each day is priced. There are expiration dates that are dependant on the amount of days you purchase. Please see our Playcare/rates page for more information. There is a $25 fee for all returned checks.
Drop Off and Pick Up: All puppies and dogs dropped off at ADGGP must be on a leash attached to a securely fitting collar. Absolutely NO flexi leashes, leather or fabric leashes only. Dogs must have a “quick release” collar of leather or nylon in addition to any chain or training collar. All puppy and dog collars must have current identification attached. We are open for Play Care Services Monday through Friday. Dogs may be dropped off as early as 6am . All pets must be picked up by 6:30pm (late pickup continues until 8:00pm). A $10 fee will be accrued for early drop off or late pickup.
Clothing:
All dogs must wear a flat quick release collar or harness to Play Care. Dogs are not to wear any chain or pinch collars on the Play Care floor. Because water and pools are in all yards, no personal electronic components should be on the dog at drop off. We also ask that all small dogs wear harnesses to our Play Care program. All dogs must also be wearing their city or county licenses or have written proof on file with ADGGP. ADGGP will not handle any dogs on retractable leashes. Retractable leashes are fine for exercising your pooch but can be dangerous when handling an excited, happy dog.
Supplies needed:
Some dogs need lunches. All lunches must come in a plastic bag or container with their name plainly marked. Please do not bring your dog's toys, bowls or bedding. We have plenty of those items. On your dog's evaluation day, please be prepared to pick up your dog between 11:00-11:30am.
Respite Care:
ADGGP offers a quiet space for our dogs that need a watchful eye while they heal from post-operative surgeries. Dogs that join us for respite care must be compatible with other dogs, illnesses must be non-communicable. Additional waivers may apply for severely injured or sick dogs and updated medical information may be needed. Dogs must come with their medication with written instruction, a regular leash and must not be a chronic barker.
Breed Restrictions:
ADGGP does except bully breeds up to 18 mths of age. We do this because we believe that it is very important to socialize all dogs at an early age. Unfortunately insurance reasons will not allow us to continue caring for them past the 18 mth timeframe. For this reason we like to bring them in at the youngest age possible to allow us to be able to work with them for the maximum length of time.
