Obedience Training Training is one of the most important things you can do for your dog. A dog that is well trained can spend more time with it's owners. We will work with you to find out how to motivate and get the most from your dog. Manners 1 This class is a great introduction for dogs that have little to no formal training. We will teach your dog to respond to your cues reliably around distractions, the first time you ask. You will learn the fundamentals of how your dog learns as well as how to motivate him/her to work with you. The curriculum covers basic obedience including: walking on a loose leash, eye contact, sit and maintain, down and maintain, boundary stay, and come when called. For dogs 4 months and up.Next Class begins Monday Jan. 5th, 2009
Manners 2 A continuation of our Obedience series. Our Manners 2 class teaches you to train your dog to have more reliable manners and obedience. Many students who complete this course are ready to test for their AKC Canine Good Citizen Certificate. You will learn when and how to to motivate your dog. Skills covered include heeling, walking through crowds, longer maintains, coming when called around distractions, teaching your dog to remain calmly by your side while you interact with other handlers. Prerequisite Manners 1 or instructor permission. Next Class begins Tuesday Jan. 6th, 2009
